Featuring a mama and baby bear in Finnish folkloric fashion, this fabric portrays love and protection. Called Karhuemo (Mother Bear), this design by Aino-Maija Metsola is based on a sketch she made from Marimekko’s 70th anniversary in 2021. Here, it’s featured on Marimekko fabric made from 100 % cotton-Acrylic-coated. It could be used to make clothing or home accessories such as wall hangings and curtains. The textile art would also create a beautiful wall hanging when stretched over canvas. Made in Helsinki.
