Fujiwo Ishimoto’s 1983 Ostjakki (Khanty) pattern is part of a collection called Iso karhu (Ursa Major), which was inspired by a book depicting the life of the Finno-Ugrian peoples. The colorful checked print is an ode to traditional ikat dyeing techniques, where colors bleed into one another. Printed in Finland from cotton-linen, use this textile to create curtains, wall hangings, table linens, and more. The orange, burgundy, and gold colors evoke feelings of fall leaves and all things autumn.
