Meaning “Stones” in Finnish, Kivet was designed by Maija Isola in 1956 but it is still making an impact with its bold boulders today. The artist was likely inspired by the rocks outside her studio home. Isola achieved the design’s raw edges by cutting freehand circles from paper with scissors, adding interest to the otherwise simple shapes. Here, it is printed on 100% cotton in a classic and contrasting black-and-white colorway.
