Called Rauha (Peace), this piece is part of the Marikyläläiset collection by Jenni Tuominen. The bottom portion is a familiar shape from the Marimekko Oiva dinnerware line, while the top features the playful face of a person. The two parts separate and rejoin to act as storage for supplies or trinkets while the bottom part can be used as a small bowl on its own when needed. Though Rauha can serve many functions, it’s truly a piece of collectible art at heart. Each one is hand-painted to have its own unique personality, much like the individual it depicts. It will add a bit of whimsy and wonder to bookshelves, mantles, countertops and more. Boxed in the Marimekko 70th anniversary packaging, it also makes for a fantastic gift.
